A snow storm on my way home from NYC? Of course.

It’s December 23rd and I am desperate to get home to Georgia after a whirlwind trip to New York City… and all that’s stopping me is the worst snowstorm the East Coast has seen in over 100 years, leaving no mode of transportation to get from Point A to Point B.

No big deal, right? It’s only 1000 miles and less than 36 hours until Christmas.

I’m a single mom who’s killing it in my career, so I’m no stranger to juggling many balls and making good out of difficult situations. I’ll figure this out.

I am working on back up plans for my back up plans when I see Miles Harris, the object of all of my teenage dreams, and the most successful businessman to ever come from our small town.

He has aged like fine wine– except somehow better– and suddenly I feel like a teenager all over again.

Facing the same predicament, and after I make a complete fool of myself, we decide to join forces and make our way home to Georgia together.

There’s nothing weird about having to travel across the country with the man that I’ve had many unrequited daydreams about, right? Right.
